FAQs
There are no dumb questions, only things that get asked often. Please email us if you have any questions not covered here. We'd be happy to help wherever we can.
Do you work with other studios or Art Directors?
Heck yeah! We've teamed up with agencies and studios from Canada and the USA, but our in-house availability is determined by our capacity for larger projects. We love collaborating with studios that share our unique perspective. In the past, we've worked on packaging, illustrations, and brand redesigns with other studios.
We're always open to exploring more opportunities and determining if we're the right fit for you. Reach out, and we'll figure something out.

How much does your work cost?
Like cookies, each design project is unique, needing a custom pricing approach each and every time. During our first meet and greet, we'll discuss your project details, goals, and needs. Once we have a solid understanding of what you'll need, we'll send you a proposal that includes a detailed estimate and a clear timeline.
All of our projects go through this process to make sure our clients get exactly what they need.
Can you skip this process? Nope. Each client has different needs, with different goals, so there's no one-size-fits-all pricing solution.

What kind of designs can I request?
Our studio has diverse design skills and can handle all kinds of requests. If your project involves a lot of copywriting, however, we might not be right for you. We can help with some copy, but we suggest you hire a copywriter for more complex branding projects. Visit Our Studio page under "What We Offer" to learn more about what we offer folks.
Would you submit an RFP (Request for Proposal)?
As a small team, we typically don't submit RFPs because it takes too much time and resources. Building direct relationships with clients is very important to us, so we focus on communication and collaboration to understand and meet partner needs.
If our work caught your eye, that's rad! If you want to collaborate with us directly, reach out directly to us here. Let's see what we can do.

Do you provide last-minute turnaround?
Depending on our studio's workload, we may be able to accommodate last-minute projects, but keep in mind that immediate availability isn't guaranteed. From initial contact, we usually aim for a 3-week minimum turnaround time (for larger projects). If you have smaller graphic design requests (Ie. flyers, print collateral, menus, etc.) we may be able to squeeze those into our schedules without the 3-week minimum timeline.
If we have availability, we’ll let you know. If it's a really tight turnaround, rush hour fees may apply.
What the hell... Why are there rush fees? To accommodate your requests, we'll need to adjust our schedules, clients' schedules, and our resources.

Are you growing your design studio?
Currently, the plan is to maintain a small studio, operating as a one-person team for now. This approach allows us to carefully select the right individuals and projects that align with our creative vision.
Looking ahead, we envision potential partnering with a like-minded individual or the possibility of expanding into a compact studio (no more than 3-4) focusing on producing exceptional work for independent businesses.

Are you currently hiring?
Not at the moment. That doesn't mean we won't hire in the future.
When we decide to expand, we'll be building a tiny team that's flexible. Providing a healthy work-life balance, fair compensation, and an excellent sense of appreciation + mentorship for all. Here, there are no egos — everyone is treated equally. That said, interns will have equal chances to work on all the fun projects from day one just like the rest of us.
Our studio wants to create an environment where employees can create their best work without feeling burned out. If an employee needs time to browse a vinyl store for inspiration or to unwind from a rough project — they'll be given that time no questions asked.
When an opening becomes available — we encourage anyone to apply. We're looking for some like minded individuals that think outside the box, have a drive to build up communities, can leave their egos at the door, are extreme wildcards, and of course could low-key be unicorns.

Are you currently taking on any interns?
Currently, we aren't taking on an intern for early 2024, but we will be soon. While we can't predict our availability during the intern season, feel free to reach out and inquire about internship opportunities. Reach out to us here.
Do you offer mentoring?
Annie's big on mentoring, especially for recent graduates. Messages to her are often about career advice, freelancing, and even insights into her creative process. Giving back to others is important to her, and she believes in paying it forward.
If you have questions about your career path, freelancing, or need feedback on your resume or portfolio, feel free to reach out to us here.
